Sails wafting gently above the runway accompanied by the sounds of the sea: The Sportmax catwalk was inspired by kinetic installation artist Daniel Wurtzel and the touch point was sailing with rubberised pea coats, billowing cotton dresses worn under canvas bustiers, and shirt dresses cinched with rope toggles. Not everything was what it seemed check skirts and jackets were actually made from specially woven leather. The effect was of ease and lightness. The sense of whimsy tempered by Sportmax signature practicality.
