Dunhill: Rally Nippon 2015

Now, disclaimer, I’m not what you would call “au fait” with the world of cars. In fact, I know nothing. My own foray into driving ended when I could lie to my driving instructor no longer about the fact I had never taken a theory test/I cried after stalling for so long at the traffic likes that they changed again. Twice. Now, the same cannot be said for Mr Alfred Dunhill, who was apparently very knowledgeable about the world of motoring. No crying for him. Hence why, over 100 years after he founded the brand, Dunhill have made this film charting the 2015 Rally Nippon, in their words “Japan’s most exclusive journey”. “Starting in the ancient city of Kyoto and heading through Japan’s idyllic landscape,” we are told, “70 of the world’s finest classic cars attempted the epic journey taking them through breathtaking scenery.”  The rally spanned 1000 miles, taking in Japan’s manmade and natural marvel in its wake. So, as you while away the hours of the weekend, watch the film above to be transported to a far and distant land. No mood-enhancing substances required…
