When it comes to Christopher Kane, we’re greedy. He’s a true master of his craft. So whenever he shows at London Fashion Week, it’s guaranteed to be so terrific that we just want more, more, more! A little selfish, we know. But his clothes are just that good. Lucky for us C Kane obsessives, the designer’s latest pre-fall collection picks up where he left off – mismatching all the great qualities of his collections over the past few years into one cohesive edit. Straight off the bat, any Christopher Kane fanatic will be drawn to the boots. In a patent leather finish, these knee-high beauties come adorned in the orthopedic gel implants that first had frow heads turning at the designer’s AW20 show back in February. “Naturotica”, C Kane’s latest sexy-term that first appeared in the very same collection now comes emblazoned across oversized white t-shirts and dresses alongside a bunch of big ol’ bananas.
Aside from a sublime power suiting and the occasional chunky knit, this collection is party frock central, and will have you salivating just at the thought of wearing one to your first post-lockdown soireé. Whilst keyhole dresses come flounced at the hem or sliced just below the bum, coral-coloured gowns come draped and accented with plastic-like fringe to give an almost subdued jellyfish silhouette. Lace, another Kane signature, trims glittery going-out dresses in a form-clinging silhouette that first dazzled at the designer’s SS20 showcase. This collection is a greatest hits album of pure C Kane floorfillers. There’s not one track you want to skip.
