Gucci To Launch Capsule Collection On Net-A-Porter
Whilst reclining in your home and taking in all the Met Ball fashuns last night, were you, like us, struck with an unquenchable desire to be part of Alessandro Michele’s elegantly clad Gucci gang? To mimic Charlotte Casiraghi’s tiered rainbow creation or Florence Welch’s Renaissance-spired get up? Dakota Johnson’s lovely little slip of a star dress? Well, unfortunately, you can’t. Because those gowns, my dear reader, were custom. Which means a swift “hands-off” to any non-celeb sorts like us. Or you, probably. But fear not, we have a solution. You can alternatively, courtesy of Net-a-Porter, clad yourself in just as exclusive Gucci gear thanks to their latest capsule collection – a 20-piece set of ready-to-wear, accessories and shoes, from brand new designs to interpretations of the Dionysus bag and Ace trainers. Like Mr Gucci and Ms Net-a-Porter have given birth to a beautiful little baby, “Our customer cannot seem to get enough of Gucci,” Alison Loehnis, president of Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter said to WWD. “Working on the exclusive project has been a thrill and we’re incredibly excited to be launching this global first on Net-A-Porter. Alessandro has an immense talent and vision and as we’ve come to expect from him, the collection is exquisite.” We’re promised plenty of bird-like embellishments and clothes a-washed with florals. Sounds just gorge, gorge.
