Manuel Facchini: Ready-to-wear AW16
This wasn’t a show. This was a presentation. On live models. Who somehow managed to stand very still for thew whole time we were there which we thought was rather impressive, but then we’re easily impressed. Anyway, apparently, the Manuel Facchini presentation was inspired by the work of sculptor Richard Sweeney and Gothic architect Michael Hansmeyer and how they create an impression of movement in their work. And how does this translate into fashions? Bold, cocoon like shapes and graphic textures in the form of woven knits and devore velvet in a sleek monochrome palette. Leathers were punctured with bold eyelets in varying sizes.
