Narciso Rodriguez: Ready-to-wear AW16
It’s tough to make the simple look intriguing. But that’s Narciso Rodriguez’s whole shtick, and he makes a compelling argument for less is more season after season. Next time around, his women will be falling over themselves to pin down his slick pale silk bias-cut dresses, his oversized papery coats, his practical fold-over squishy day bags. Maybe it’s part and parcel of a still-ferocious nineties revival, but Rodriguez’s wares looked freshly covetable for all this time around, not just the legions of converted whole flock to Narciso season after season for an elegantly understated iteration of female attire. He’s won a tranche of new acolytes with this show.
