Proenza Schouler New York Fashion Week Aw15 Backstage Girls
Set against a backdrop of an empty Whitney Museum, this Proenza Schouler was inspired in part by the work of American abstract expressionist artists, painter Helen Frankenthaler and sculptor Robert Morris. So in honour of them both we will anoint this slash and splatter, the slasher flick of fashion. Slash for the for the flesh revealing cuts across the body, splatter for the painterly ‘splodge’ like graphics. This clung to the frame, asymmetric hemlines flapped around the legs.
