Roksanda: Ready-To-Wear AW19

The big, romantic volumes, generous flounces and couture silhouettes that Roksanda has long championed have been all over the AW19 runways. Roksanda’s brand of romantic femininity is very much in the ascendant and her AW19 collection did not disappoint. On a sandy catwalk set designed by London-based art collective Troika, her models strode in voluminous poets blouses, flounced yellow taffeta gowns, framed with sprays of matching ostrich feathers and quilted parkas, swathed around the body and cinched for a couture-like proportion. Roksanda’s colour sense is always a delight. Magenta and mustard tobacco, taupe and a host of golden daffodil looks all played into her uplifting palette. There’s a wonderful confidence in how Roksanda communicates her vision. These gorgeous, enveloping clothes are for women who know (and love) themselves. Feel-good? Feel gorgeous is more like it.
