Stella McCartney is riding high. Her ethical, sustainable take on fashion is finally leading the mainstream conversation and her woman friendly aesthetic is very much in vogue. Her show underlined all the things she does best, slouchy suiting crafted for living real life covetable knits and lingerie dresses (this time embellished with zips). There was a utility element with roomy flying suits and something sporty – how about a full-on oversized shell suit of the kind the athletes McCartney dresses with her Adidas range live in? There was fashion catnip here too in the shape of sassy little cycling onesies in retro sixties floral print and kicky, tie dye babydolls worn with satin ballet flats. Importantly it had the feel good factor – another thing Stella excels at.
