To quote Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, via the medium of Beyonce’s seminal girl power banger Flawless, “we should all be feminists.” Which, in turn, happened to be the same quote that found itself printed across the chests of the t-shirts that Maria Grazia Chiuri sent stomping down the runway for her very first (and very brilliant) show for the house of Dior. A message that we at Ten, of course, thoroughly endorse. We’re always down for a bit of fist pumping feminism. We are, after all, the surrogate sprogs of power woman and female boss, 10 Mag Editrix-in-Chief Sophia Neophitou. In this just-released film from Dior, made to accompany their SS17 campaign starring the Bell sisters, this message is declared loud and proud – especially potent since Maria Grazia Chiuri is the very first female Creative Director of the house. Altogether now: who run the world? Girls.
